WICEN NSW, is a support squad of the NSW Volunteer Rescue Association. Recent rains mean fires across the state have been brought under control, and WICEN's support has concluded.

For members who have registered, "Drive vehicles under operational conditions" is being held next weekend. Members are also encouraged to take advantage of the free courses offered by the Office of Emergency Management, at: https://www.emtraining.nsw.gov.au/

WICEN NSW, as a support squad of the NSW Volunteer Rescue Association has in the past week been requested to provide limited support to the NSW RFS. Support at this time is being provided to Bega FCC.

WICEN NSW, as a support squad of the NSW Volunteer Rescue Association, has now ceased tasking members to assist the NSW RFS. The WICEN Committee would like to thank those members who during the recent bushfire emergency gave their time to assist, often at short notice and in difficult and stressful operating conditions.

WICEN NSW, as a support squad of the NSW Volunteer Rescue Association, has been active assisting in a number of multi-agency activities during the current bush-fire emergency.

With the current reduction in fire activity, and the restoration of communications around Bega, all WICEN activities have been suspended. Well done to all involved.

WICEN NSW, as a support squad of the NSW Volunteer Rescue Association, has been active assisting in a number of multi-agency activities during the current bush-fire emergency.

During the week WICEN NSW and WICEN ACT partially refreshed the team at Bega. This was sent at the request of the NSW VRA, to assist in re-establishing radio communications services, disrupted by fire activity, for the local VRA squads and other local agencies. WICEN thanks CREST for their significant contribution of equipment and expertise to the effort.
