True Grit, promoted as a "military inspired obstacle challenge", is on June 10 and 11 in Lower Portland, north-west of Sydney. As one of the competition classes in this event continues overnight, additional operators are sought, in order to work in shifts.

These are typically held within a few hours' drive of Sydney, with the location only disclosed publicly close to the event. Ahead of this there will be a recce and radio survey, planned for Sunday 23 April.

It is with much regret that we report that June Ridgley, Treasurer and long standing member of Central Coast WICEN, and wife of Bob VK2ZAR, passed away peacefully last weekend after a short illness. For many years June, along side her husband Bob, was an active member of WICEN, being a motivational force at Shazada and the one day rides. She will be missed by all at Central Coast WICEN.
