WICEN NSW is a communications support squad of the NSW Volunteer Rescue Association.
This year’s WICEN NSW Annual General Meeting will be held on Saturday 18th September at 14:30 at ARNSW Dural. It will move online if there are any COVID-19 restrictions.
The Watagan State Forest Ride has been rescheduled to the 11th and 12th September.
Unfortunately the Shahzada Horse Enduro Ride at St Albans has been cancelled for this year. It is hoped that it will be bigger and better next year.

The next training day will be held at Dural on Sunday, June 6th. Activities will include the new VRA field radios and a working bee.
The Glowworm Tunnel Marathon, will be held in and around Newnes in the Blue Mountains on the weekend of June 18th-20th. This is a great opportunity for new members to get out in the field and work with experienced members.

Walks in NSW are scheduled in the Hunter, in Penrith, and in Rozelle. These events are an ideal training ground in emergency communications for WICEN members.
Other Interstate events will be supported by WICEN Victoria and WICEN South Australia.

Dementia Australia's Memory Walk and Jog events have been added to the WICEN NSW agenda. The first two in NSW are the Illawarra event on Sunday, February 21st at Stuart Park, North Wollongong, and in the Hunter on March 21st. The Sydney events are in May. Each is a short Sunday morning event, packed up my mid-morning, and suitable for new members.
Members have been experimenting with WINLINK and JS8CALL to pass text messages, on Monday evenings, supported by a Google Meeting.
