Today's WICEN training day at Dural has been postponed due to the weather.

WICEN will be supporting the True Grit event next weekend, 11th and 12th June, at Dargle Farm, Lower Portland. There is a requirement for shifts to operate through the night. Camping is possible on site. The event will finish mid-afternoon Sunday. Those wishing to assist are asked to indicated what part of the weekend they are available.

The BWRS Navshield will be over the weekend of 2nd and 3rd July, with set-up on Friday 1st. The location, while secret, is to the south of Sydney, and checkpoints and radio sites can be reached by most two wheel drive vehicles. The radio survey is on Sunday 19th June, 2016. As well as the support roles, there is the possibility of a WICEN Team.

SAREX, the search and rescue exercise built around the search for VH-MDX is September 16 to 18 in the Barrington Tops.

WICEN ACT is part of the Canberra Region Amateur Radio Club, and supports events in the ACT and southern NSW. The club's website is at: http://www.crarc.ampr.org This now includes information on their DMR or Digital Mobile Radio project, and links to their Facebook and Google-Plus pages.

Their coming events include their largest event for the year, the BMSC National Capital (or NatCap) Rally this weekend. The Sapphire Coast Sporting Car Club Bega Rally will be next weekend, the 11 and 12 June. Saturday 23rd July is the BMSC Narooma Rally. Foundation courses are provided bi-monthly, with exams for all levels on the Sunday. The next one is one the 23rd and 24th of July. The first weekend of September is the ACTERA Brookvale Horse Endurance Ride.

WICEN Victoria are supporting the the Mallee Rally next weekend, the 11 and 12 June at Sea Lake, south of Euston and Robinvale. The Stockman Rally in the Big River State Forest is mid September. The group's website is at: http://vic.wicen.org.au
