Saturday, May 5th is Trek for Timor - Kangaroo Valley, raising funds for housing for students from rural Timor Leste studying in Dili, and for scholarships.

WICEN is supporting four Dementia Australia Memory Walk and Jog events, each held on a Sunday morning. These are: Stuart Park, North Wollongong this morning; Tench Reserve, Penrith on March 25th; Leichhardt Oval #3, Lilyfield on May 6th; and the Hunter event at Speers Point Park, on May 25th.

True Grit, on the 2nd and 3rd of June, will be followed by the Obstacle Course Racing World Championship the next weekend, the 9th and 10th, both at Lower Portland, in north-west Sydney.

Navshield, held within 4 hours' drive of Sydney, is on June the 23rd and 24th. There is the possibility of a WICEN team.

WICEN Northern Rivers has a weekly net on Tuesdays at 8:00pm, on the Lismore repeater VK2RSC on 146.8 MHz, requiring a 123 Hz tone. Listen for VK2WIR.

The WICEN Mid North Coast Region monthly meeting is held on the first Saturday of the month, at SES HQ, Central Road, Port Macquarie, beginning at 15:30. The region is also experimenting with an HF net on Thursday evenings at 19:00, on the WICEN frequency, 28.450 MHz.

WICEN ACT is part of the Canberra Region Amateur Radio Club, and supports events in the ACT and the surrounding "Capital Country". Easter Sunday, April 1st, is the National Carriage Driving Championships at Witwood, and the Canberra Two Day Walk on the 7th and 8th. The National Capital Rally will be the 1st to 3rd of June. The following weekend, the 9th and 10th is the SCSCC Bega Rally. The Club runs Foundation courses and all-level exams bi-monthly, with immediate bookings required for March 16th and 17th. WICEN Victoria holds a net every Tuesday at 20:30 on or near 3.6 MHz. Field Weekend at Yea concludes today, as does the Eureka Rally at Ballarat. Duncan's Run in the Tarra Bulga State Forest is Saturday, March 24th. The Sunraysia Safari Rally will be held in the far north-west corner of Victoria, south of Wentworth, on April 21st and 22nd, as will a 4WD event at Toolangi State Forest. May 6th is the Kenda Rally, a motorcycle event. The Mallee Rally is 9th and 10th June at Sealake. Their website is: http://vic.wicen.org.au
