This weekend was a mini-SAREX and recce for the VH-MDX SAREX to be held on 15th to 17th September. This is a search and rescue exercise built around the search a light aircraft missing since 1981, in the rugged Barrington Tops.

Trek for Timor Kangaroo Valley is on 7th and 8th October. This will raise funds for accommodation for students studying in Dili, and scholarships for school students. See: http://www.kvrp.net.au/

The Hawkesbury Canoe Classic will be held overnight on 28th and 29th October.

Saturday, August 26th is the date for the AGM, at ARNSW in Dural.

VRA Memorial Day is Sunday, October 15th.

WICEN Northern Rivers has a weekly net on Tuesdays at 8:00pm summer time, on the Lismore repeater VK2RSC on 146.8 MHz, requiring a 123 Hz tone. Listen for VK2WIR. Members will be providing communications for the Jackadgery Horse Enduro on July 29th and 30th. Sunday 13th August is a group meeting, at 10:00.

The WICEN Mid North Coast Region monthly meeting is held on the first Saturday of the month, at SES HQ, Central Road, Port Macquarie, beginning at 15:30.

WICEN ACT is part of the Canberra Region Amateur Radio Club, and supports events in the ACT and the surrounding "Capital Country". September 2nd and 3rd is the ACTERA Brookvale Horse Enduro on the north-west border of the Territory. Fitz's Challenge is a cycling event on Sunday October 29th. WICEN Victoria holds a net every Tuesday at 20:30 on or near 3.6 MHz. Sunday, August 6th is the Rainbow Desert Enduro, an off-road buggy event in the west of the state.
