WICEN's Monday night HF net is being reduced to once a month. This will be the second Monday of each month, so the next HF net will be at 8 p.m. on Monday 13th May.

The group will start a 2m digital net via Chatswood repeater at 7:30 p.m. on the 4th Wednesday of each month. The first of these will be on Wednesday 24th April. Initially this will use MT63-2k-long. In the future it may be possible to link Chatswood with other repeaters to allow others to join the net.

The simplest way to participate is to use the Fldigi suite of software which is free and runs on several platforms. It can be downloaded from: http://www.w1hkj.com/ You will need an interface to connect your transceiver to your PC. Regularly used parts of the Fldigi suite are Fldigi, Flmsg, and Flamp. You should install each of these.

Don't hesitate to contact WICEN if you have any questions. Steve VK2BOS thanks all those who have participated in the digital nets so far.
