WICEN has supported four Dementia Australia Memory Walk and Jog events, each held on a Sunday morning. The final one was the Hunter event at Speers Point Park, this morning.

True Grit, on the 2nd and 3rd of June will be followed by the Obstacle Course Racing World Championship on Friday 8th and Saturday 9th, both at Lower Portland, north-west Sydney.

The recce for the VH-MDX "Barrington SAREX" on September 14-16 was weekend.

The 30th Navshield, a bush navigation contest, is on the 23rd and 24th of June.

WICEN Northern Rivers has a weekly net on Tuesdays at 8:00pm, on the Lismore repeater VK2RSC on 146.8 MHz, requiring a 123 Hz tone. Listen for VK2WIR. The Region is supporting its second horse enduro this month, the Spring Mountain event near Brisbane, this weekend. A meeting is planned for Sunday, June 10th at 10:00; and the Bom Bom enduro is a possible event for the 16th and 17th of June.

The WICEN Mid North Coast Region monthly meeting is held on the first Saturday of the month, at SES HQ, Central Road, Port Macquarie, beginning at 15:30. The region is also experimenting with an HF net on Thursday evenings at 19:00, on the WICEN frequency, 3.600 MHz.

WICEN ACT is part of the Canberra Region Amateur Radio Club, and supports events in the ACT and the surrounding "Capital Country". The National Capital Rally will be the 1st to 3rd of June. The 9th and 10th of June is the SCSCC Bega Rally. Saturday, July 21st is pencilled-in as the BMSC Narooma Rally, as is the Batemans Bay Rally on August 11th. CRARC also runs Foundation courses and all-level exams bi-monthly, and with exams today, the next one for which bookings can be made is July 21st and 22nd.

WICEN Victoria's next event is the Mallee Rally is the 9th and 10th of June at the spectacular Lake Tyrell in Sealake. The group holds a net on 3.6 MHz each Wednesday at 8:30 pm local time. Visit: http://vic.wicen.org.au
