The final NSW Dementia Australia Walk and Jog event was the Sydney event, at Leichhardt Oval #3, Lilyfield, around Iron Cove, this morning; although WICEN NSW is assisting with equipment for events in Brisbane, at the South Bank Cultural Forecourt on May 26th; and Kawana Surf Club on the Sunshine Coast on June 9th.

True Grit, an obstacle course running event, is the 1st and 2nd of June; and the OCR World Championship 24 Hour is the following weekend, the 8th and 9th of June, both at Lower Portland, in outer NW Sydney. Nic McLean VK2KXN is the event commander. Please contact Nic using if you are available for either or both events.

The BSAR Navshield will be held on the 22nd and 23rd of June, somewhere in NSW, within a few hours' of Sydney. As well as providing support and safety communications for the for the event, WICEN may enter a team, should competitors make themselves available.

The Glow Worm Marathon at Newnes is the 15th and 16th of June.

September 14th and 15th is the Kangaroo Valley - Remexio Partnership's Trek for Timor. See:

The Hounslow Classic is September 28th and 29th, in the Blue Mountains.

Due to the number of events in June, there will be no training at Dural in that month.

The WICEN Mid North Coast Region monthly meeting is held on the first Saturday of the month, at SES HQ, Central Road, Port Macquarie, beginning at 15:30. The region runs an HF net on Thursday evenings at 19:00, on the WICEN frequency, 3.600 MHz.

WICEN ACT is part of the Canberra Region Amateur Radio Club, and supports events in the "Capital Country" region, and on the South Coast. The SCSCC Bega Rally is the 8th and 9th of June, while the NSSCC "Rally of the Bay" at Bateman's Bay is the 29th. August 6th is the BMSC Narooma Rally.
