The WICEN (NSW) Inc AGM will be held at ARNSW, 63 Quarry Road on Saturday, September 21st, at 2pm.
Operators are sought for the Kangaroo Valley - Remexio Partnership's Trek for Timor on Saturday, September 14th. This event raises funds for several important projects in the severely under-developed Timor Leste. This scenic walk is from Kangaroo Valley, just 14 km up McPhalls's Trail to Fitzroy Falls, optionally continuing to Meryla Pass, or all the way back to Jack's Corner Road. See: http://kvrp.net.au
The Hounslow Classic, is a running event in the upper Blue Mountains, around Blackheath and Grose Valley, on September 28th and 29th.
The Hawkesbury Canoe Classic, including the new Classic Relay, runs overnight from Saturday October 26th to Sunday 27th.
As Sunday, September 1st is Fathers' Day, there will be no training here on that day. Members are therefore encouraged to take advantage of the free courses offered by the Office of Emergency Management.

The WICEN Mid North Coast Region monthly meeting is held on the first Saturday of the month, at SES HQ, Central Road, Port Macquarie, beginning at 15:30. The region runs an HF net on Thursday evenings at 19:00, on the WICEN frequency, 3.600 MHz.
WICEN ACT is part of the Canberra Region Amateur Radio Club, and supports events in the "Capital Country" region, and on the South Coast. The ACTERA Brookvale Horse Endurance Ride is September 2nd and 3rd, named for the property, "Brookvale" which straddles the north-west border. On October 4th and 5th WICEN is providing support for ANU's Inward Bound. The LCCC Monaro Stages, is Saturday October 19th. Fitz's Challenge is a cycling event on Sunday October 27th. WICEN Victoria will be supporting the Eureka Rush next Sunday, August 25th, around Beaufort, near Ballarat. September 20th to 22nd is Field Weekend. The Stockman's Rally is October 27th in Big River State Forest. The Alpine Rally is November 29th to December 1st, around Lakes Entrance. The weekly net is on each Tuesday at 8:30 pm, on 3.6 MHz.
