The WICEN NSW Annual General Meeting will be held here at ARNSW in Quarry Road, Dural, on Saturday, August 11th at 15:00.

September will be busy, starting with the "Great North Walk ULTRA", going from Teralba to Patonga Wharf, on the 8th and 9th.

The VH-MDX "Barrington SAREX", or Search And Rescue EXercise in the Barrington Tops is on September 14th to 16th, with the second recce is on July 27th.

The Hounslow Classic, on September 22nd and 23rd, is a running event centred on Blackheath.

The Hawkesbery Canoe Classic, and the associated Wisemans Dash will be on the 27th and 28th October. These raise funds for the ARROW Bone Marrow Transplant Foundation.

Induction training will be here at Dural on July 22nd, at 9:30 am.

For Facebook users, there is a new official "WICEN NSW" page, and an informal national WICEN group.

WICEN Northern Rivers has a weekly net on Tuesdays at 8:00pm, on the Lismore repeater VK2RSC on 146.8 MHz, requiring a 123 Hz tone. Sunday, August 12th, at 1000 is the meeting, at the SARC club-rooms. Listen for VK2WIR.

The WICEN Mid North Coast Region monthly meeting is held on the first Saturday of the month, at SES HQ, Central Road, Port Macquarie, beginning at 15:30. The region is also running an HF net on Thursday evenings at 19:00, on the WICEN frequency, 3.600 MHz.

WICEN ACT is part of the Canberra Region Amateur Radio Club, and supports events in the ACT and the surrounding "Capital Country". Next Saturday is the BMSC Narooma Rally, while the Batemans Bay Rally is on August 11th. The ACTERA Brookvale Horse Endurance Ride is on September 29th and 30th. October has the ANU "Inward Bound" adventure race on the 5th and 6th; and both Fitz's Challenge and the Whitwood Carriage Driving event on the 28th. CRARC runs Foundation courses and all-level exams bi-monthly.

WICEN Victoria's Stockmans Rally at Big River is listed for Sunday, October 28th. The group holds a net on 3.6 MHz each Tuesday at 8:30 pm local time. Visit: http://vic.wicen.org.au
