While the year has drawn to a close in terms of planned events, summer is the time which WICEN is typically activated so it is important to remain prepared for events.

WICEN will have a stand at the Central Coast Amateur Radio Club's Wyong Field Day on 22 February 2015. The more who volunteer, the shorter shifts can be.

Facebook users will find the official WICEN New South Wales page, an informal national WICEN group, and at least one interstate group. WICEN's parent body, the Volunteer Rescue Association is also on Facebook, and can be found by typing "VRA" into the search bar on that site.

WICEN ACT is part of the Canberra Region Amateur Radio Club, and supports events in the ACT and surrounding areas. The club's website at http://www.crarc.ampr.org includes details of both WICEN and general events, including training.
