WICEN members are invited to a BWRS briefing night covering the current status of the research into, and search for VH-MDX. The briefing will be at 1900 on Friday 25 November at BWRS HQ, 4 Learmonth Street, Rooty Hill. Please RSVP to WICEN Operations.

WICEN is running an activity day and lunch for members and families here at Dural on Sunday, December 4.

WICEN will hold a practice net starting at 1930 on Monday, 5 December, trying several different systems:

At 1930 on the following linked repeaters: Chatswood 2 m, Kurrajong 70 cm, and Berowra 70 cm.
At 1945 a simplex net on 147.500 MHz, with net control at La Perouse in Sydney.
At 2000 on HF, on 3610 kHz +/- QRM, hopefully allowing both local and distant stations to join.

Northern Rivers region has a weekly net on Tuesdays at 2000 Lima (8:00 pm summer time) on the Lismore repeater VK2RSC on 146.8 MHz, requiring a 123 Hz tone. Listen for VK2WIR.

WICEN ACT is part of the Canberra Region Amateur Radio Club, and supports events in the ACT and the surrounding "Capital Country". The club's website is at: http://www.crarc.ampr.org

Saturday 3rd December is the BMSC Rallye des Femme. Foundation courses are provided by the Club bi-monthly, on odd-numbered months.

WICEN Victoria's next event is The Australian 4 Day Enduro, an off-road motorcycling event at Mansfield during this week. The group's website is: http://vic.wicen.org.au Their net is every Tuesday at 2130 on or near 3.6 MHz.
