The Trek for Timor as held and supported by WICEN for the last 2 years
has been confirmed to be on again in 2011. This year the event is back
to the 2009 location of the Kangaroo Valley, NSW and WICEN has been
asked to provide the radio network between the check point, officials
and sweep teams.

We will have a total of 5 check points to cover as well as a remote
repeater site which covers the route of Kangaroo Valley - Fitzroy Falls
- Meryla Pass - Jacks Corner - Scot's College Glengarry.

*The date for the event is September 24th 2011.

*We will need to have the first set of check points in place and working
by 6AM and the last check point will close by midnight . Check points
close down as the last walkers pass through them. So there is some scope
to be flexible with arrival and departure times.

This is a good event for new WICEN members and for those that have not
been active for a while. Some sites require 4WD access, others are on
bitumen.
