Members should prepared for activation over the summer period, as until recently this has been the busiest period for incidents. Despite several record lows being set, and snow falling outside the usual alpine areas, last year was the warmest on record for Australia according to the BOM, and the highest windspeed ever detected in NSW was recorded during the Kurnell tornado.
