The Mid North Coast Region will be supporting the AMSAG Johns River Rally, between Johns River and Heron Creek, on Saturday, 28th October.

The Hawkesbury Canoe Classic will be held overnight on 28th and 29th October. WICEN has responsibility for checkpoint and other communications over a large portion of the course, so requires a good turnout of operators.

The Volunteer Memorial Day is Sunday, October 8th.

WICEN Northern Rivers has a weekly net on Tuesdays at 8:00pm, on the Lismore repeater VK2RSC on 146.8 MHz, requiring a 123 Hz tone. Listen for VK2WIR. The group will hold a meeting at 1000 hours on Sunday, October 8th.

The WICEN Mid North Coast Region monthly meeting is held on the first Saturday of the month, at SES HQ, Central Road, Port Macquarie, beginning at 15:30. The region is also experimenting with an HF net on Thursday evenings at 19:00, on 28.450 MHz. MNCR is supplying communications for the annual Beechwood Billycart Classic on 15th Oct 2017 at Beechwood. The Group is also setting up communications vans for JOTA at Wauchope on 21st & 22nd October, and in Port Macquarie on 21st only. The region is also supporting the White Ribbon Walk on 26th November.

WICEN ACT is part of the Canberra Region Amateur Radio Club, and supports events in the ACT and the surrounding "Capital Country". The BMSC "Rallye des Femme" is Saturday, October 14th. Fitz's Challenge is a road cycling event on Sunday October 29th. November 4th and 5th sees the group double up, with LCCC Monaro Stages event around Cooma on the Saturday, and the NSW Carriage Driving Championships at Witwood on the Sunday. WICEN Victoria holds a net every Tuesday at 20:30 on or near 3.6 MHz. December 1st to 3rd is the Alpine Rally, which covers 700 km in East Gippsland. Their website is: http://vic.wicen.org.au
