If you picked up a membership form at today's Field Day this is your
reminder to fill it out and mail it back. If it is now scrunched up
or covered in transformer oil, replacements are available on the WICEN
website. For those who usually pay for their membership at Wyong, but
somehow missed the opportunity, please remember that you will need to
make alternative arrangements to pay. Details for direct payment can
be made by contacting the organisation.

Steven VK2BOS advises that, in addition to text based HF Digital
Modes, the Monday evening group will also experiment with the new
digital voice software called FreeDV. This is available from
freedv.org.

On Sunday May 5 WICEN is supporting the Memory Walk & Jog run by the
NSW branch of Alzheimer's Australia over the "Bay Run" course in inner
western Sydney.

WICEN's sister group within the VRA, the Bushwalkers Wilderness Rescue
Squad is running their famous 4 Day Comprehensive Remote Area First
Aid over the weekends of 6 & 7 April 2013 and 20 & 21 April 2013.
This course includes three competencies and satisfies both the new
first aid standard for rescue operators and Workcover requirements. A
shorter courses is also available.

WICEN ACT has events planned from March, include the National Capital
Rally, running from Friday 1st to Sunday 3rd; and the Australian
Carriage Driving Championships at Witwood on Easter Sunday, the 31st.
