September will be busy, starting with the "Great North Walk ULTRA", going from Teralba to Patonga Wharf, on the 18th and 19th.

The VH-MDX "Barrington SAREX", or Search And Rescue EXercise in the Barrington Tops is on September 14th to 16th.

The Hounslow Classic is the 22nd and 23rd of September, a running event centred on Blackheath.

The Hawkesbery Canoe Classic and Wisemans Dash will be on the 27th and 28th October. These raise funds for the ARROW Bone Marrow Transplant Foundation.

WICEN Northern Rivers has a weekly net on Tuesdays at 8:00pm, on the Lismore repeater VK2RSC on 146.8 MHz, requiring a 123 Hz tone. Listen for VK2WIR.

The WICEN Mid North Coast Region monthly meeting is held on the first Saturday of the month, at SES HQ, Central Road, Port Macquarie, beginning at 15:30. The region is also running an HF net on Thursday evenings at 19:00, on the WICEN frequency, 3.600 MHz.

WICEN ACT is part of the Canberra Region Amateur Radio Club, and supports events in the ACT and the surrounding "Capital Country". Saturday, July 21st is the BMSC Narooma Rally, while the Batemans Bay Rally is on August 11th. The ACTERA Brookvale Horse Endurance Ride is on September 29th and 30th. October has the ANU "Inward Bound" adventure race on the 5th and 6th; and both Fitz's Challenge and the Whitwood Carriage Driving event on the 28th.
